New codes were assigned in the 2006 CPT for total B, T, NK, and stem cells counts. Since the first of the year both the AMA and CMS have provided additional guidance on how to use these codes in conjunction with other flow cytometry services. Today, we will discuss exactly how to deal with this often-confusing area. Please let us know if you have any specific questions regarding these codes.
