A number of our clinical laboratory subscribers have recently posed questions concerning the billing of test interpretations purchased from other providers. Primarily they have asked whether it is appropriate to submit a claim to Medicare for diagnostic test interpretations performed by unrelated physicians. This week we will discuss the Medicare regulations that govern this practice.
