This week's CodeMap Compliance Briefing discusses the Category III codes included in the 2007 CPT. These codes should not affect the way most providers submit claims to federally funded health care programs. However, we feel our subscribers should be informed of all aspects of the coding and billing rules and requirements of the health care plans in which they participate. The more providers understand about federally funded health care programs, the less the chance of compliance issues developing into significant liabilities.
