We last discussed Medically Unbelievable Edits (MUEs) over a year ago. Since then, CMS initially rescinded their transmittal describing the proposed edits, and as a result of major objections from the medical community, has resumed the project under the name of Medically Unlikely Edits. Today’s CodeMap® Compliance Briefing will discuss the current status of MUEs as they apply to laboratory services. This will be the last briefing of 2006.
