This weeks' CodeMap® Radiology Briefing discusses how Medicare determines reimbursement amounts for tests and services listed in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. As most our subscribers know, most procedures performed by radiology and imaging providers are included in this Medicare payment system. Recently, CMS proposed rules that will govern the 2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule that becomes effective January 1, 2011. We will continue our discussion of Medicare payment systems in the next briefing by examining the Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System.
