It is common knowledge that Medicare Part B pays for specimen collection services. However, not everyone understands that Medicare Part B also reimburses for travel expenses associated with medically necessary specimen collection. Today, we will discuss how Medicare covers the costs for a laboratory technician to draw a specimen from either a nursing home patient or homebound patient.
