Today's CodeMap® Compliance Briefing provides an update to the Medicare reimbursement amounts for COVID-19 antigen and antibody tests. CMS chose to gap-fill all new COVID-19 HCPCS and CPT codes for 2021. As a result, individual Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) are now responsible for setting payment rates until CMS establishes final values for the 2022 Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS). The fees listed below should not be considered final since CMS will publish preliminary values later in the year and then finalize rates after considering all comments and reconsideration requests.
