CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: 7/31/2009
Editor's Welcome:
As our subscribers know, Medicare is a massive federal program with complex and confusing rules and many layers of organization. Our CodeMap Radiology Briefings aim to make sense of the compliance and reimbursement issues created by Medicare, but even our explanations can cause people to scratch their heads if they do not possess a basic understanding of the terms and definitions we routinely use. As a guide to future briefings, this week's discussion will explain some of the more common terms and abbreviations that apply to the organization and administration of federally funded health care programs. As always, feel free to forward any questions and/or comments. Your input often dictates the subject matter of upcoming briefings.
