CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: June 23, 2017
Editor's Welcome: Each year, CMS holds a public meeting to receive comments and recommendations from the public on the appropriate basis for establishing payment amounts for new CPT® and HCPCS codes being added to the Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS). This year, after gathering the information, CMS will publish preliminary recommendations for pricing the new codes in early September, and after a 30 day comment period, publish the final 2018 CLFS in November. This meeting also provides a forum for discussing reconsideration requests regarding final payment determinations for new test codes on the 2017 CLFS. This year promises to be a lengthy meeting with over 50 new codes on the agenda. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or comments concerning this CodeMap® Compliance Briefing.
