CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: July 21, 2021
Editor's Welcome: Recently, CMS published the preliminary reimbursement rates for all gap-filled tests and procedures included in the 2022 Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule. As we have discussed in previous CodeMap® Compliance Briefings, CMS chose to set payment rates for almost all COVID-19 tests using the gap-filled methodology. Despite a high volume of stakeholder comments and input, CMS did not change any of the reimbursement amounts for COVID-19 tests. Today's Briefing is an update and reminder of the Medicare payment rates for COVID-19 tests. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
