Peter Reed is a retired banker having spent almost 40 years with First Chicago and it's successors.  He is now retired and enjoying various interests with his wife, children and grandchildren.  His main areas of interest are golf and model making.  Membership at a local golf club provides a convenient and useful environment for golfing and entertainment with family and friends.  His interest in model making began some years ago and continues today.

His summer hobby is golf and winter hobby, model making.  He began building train layouts upon retirement six years ago.  His first layout was an N scale approximately 4 feet by 8 feet with 5 locomotives and many train cars.  His current project is a HO scale layout of approximately 9 feet by 14 feet.  The switch from N to HO scale was due to the ease of working with HO and the availability of trains and equipment.  The current HO layout is a work in process and may never really be completed.

The interest in model building began some years ago when he began making model ships and WWII tanks from kits.   Earlier during his teen years, his brother and he would collect lead soldiers.

Golf was an offshoot of his friends interest in playing and going to company and industry association outings.  Obviously upon retirement, a lot more time became available and therefore the interest in golf increased.
