CodeMap® Briefing: 04/28/2023

Editor's Welcome:

On April 4, CMS updated the Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN) form on its website. As a result, this CodeMap® Briefing serves as a reminder for all providers to begin using the new form by June 30, 2023.  This includes updating your LIS, HIS and order-entry systems that generate an ABN based on National (NCD) and Local (LCD/LCA) Coverage Policies.  The new form only includes minor changes; however, all providers must use the latest form to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please send them to us via email.
